The moments when mommy and daddy become a reality instead of a long awaited dream...

I can not begin to tell everyone how honored and moved I was to photograph Sweet Bowen's first moments into his new life with his sweet mommy and daddy. It was very emotional to say the least. My heart just melted as I watched this couple become parents.  The intense love and waiting became a reality for both of them. They had been trying to be parents for 4 yrs and finally there prayers have been answered. They are going to be wonderful parents and I feel such a connection with them. I get so attached to my clients, they are my friends and I cherish the moments I spend with each of them in their own unique personalities that I want to see come through my work.  I am going to love to watch little Bowen grow up to becoming a very handsome and accomplished young man.  I will always have such sweet moments to remember of his beautiful birth day.

I was relaxing on the couch after church. Okay so I was sleeping and drooling at that. lol  Chase calls and said it is time. I jump up wipe my slobber (lol) and head to Tifton to the hospital. I was so excited my first live birth to photograph since I have been in business.  I have wanted to offer this service and the opportunity finally came with this sweet couple.  Anyways, I headed to Tifton, and I was nervous and beyond excited.  I usually get butterflys before a session anyways, I get so excited and I want to do my very best for my clients.  I got there and Chase was standing outside the operating room waiting patiently to go in.  He checked in with the doctors and nurses and they came out and suited me up in my pretty blue with my mask and such pretty blue shoe covers- haha.  As soon as Bowen was delivered they let me come in to photograph from that moment on. When I walked in they were still working on Jodi, I focused on that new sweet bundle of joy and photographed the footprints and them checking him out. Chase gets to hold Bowen for the first time to take him to his sweet wife to see for the first time. I am telling you there was such love in this room. Everyone was very sweet and eager to let me get to the spots I needed to capture those sweet moments for them.  As I watched this couple I felt so much peace and comfort knowing how amazing God is and how he brought such happiness to this much deserved couple.  I kept it together and continued snapping away.  From then on I captured daddy rolling baby Bowen to the nursery and stopping outside the door for the parents to get their first looks, and another sweet moment captured:).  I continued around the corner took baby Bowen in for his weigh in and daddys proud moment to ring the hospital bell:)  I also got to photograph little man getting his first bath, and boy did he love his head under that faucet, that warm water felt so cozy.  The moment that got me was mommy back in her room waiting to get her hands on her new sweet bundle of joy.  Chase comes bringing him in and I photographed from the time he hit the door until the baby was in mommy's arm. That was truly a moment I will NEVER forget. All of us mommy's know how wonderful that moment is. The tears of joy come rolling down her face, and my heart is singing for them both.
Yes, this is def. something I will be offering in 2012 and forever:) Those first time moments that I never even got to see with my babies being born they will have those moments captured and sealed in such a loving way. Photography is amazing it freezes those moments so you can look back at them and feel the moment.  I love what I do, and I am so blessed that God has given me this opportunity.  I am so passionate about what I do, and so eager to please all my sweet clients.  I know that birth sessions will be in my appointment book in the next year, and I am delighted to offer this new service to my clients.
Thank you Jodi and Chase for allowing me to be a part of one of the happiest moments in your lives, I will never forget how you made me feel so special and how appreciative you were that I was there. My cup runneth over and I am truly blessed for this experience. Thanks everyone and so sorry this was long winded, I was just writing how I know best straight from the heart.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT 2012 HAS IN STORE FOR

Carolyn Griffin Photography: Ral & Kristi's Wedding

Ral & Kristi's Wedding

Kristi called me about doing her wedding. She saw some images that I had done for Patrice ( Ral's Sister). I was honored to talk with her. I wanted to meet with her as I do before I talked about her wedding on the phone, but wasn't possible she was far far away at Seminary School in New Jersey.  We talked on the phone, and she told me she wanted me to photograph her wedding.  I did not meet Kristi or Ral until their wedding day ( normally already have meet with the bride and groom several times) When I walked up to her I knew with that beautiful smile she had that she was going to be a very sweet bride, and she was. Ral was an awesome groom as well. They both were up for whatever I wanted to do.  I am so thankful to have been part of their romantic day.  Ral's father performed the wedding ceromony, and that was very special for everyone. The wedding was beautiful and full of laughter throughout the day. I hope you enjoy the images I am sharing with you of Ral & Kristi's wedding.  I know it brought great joy to my heart to be a part of it.

Boys on the Farm

I had so much fun with these two lil brothers. I was so excited to do a session like this. To just make memories of two little boys playing on the farm. I chased them around all over that farm, and through the field. The lil one reminds me of my lil brother when he was little. My brother had that white cotton top hair just like him.  This is what makes my job so special getting to capture moments like this.  I was so excited when mommy called and asked me to do the session. She just sat back and let us play, and that's just the way I like it.  These boys were precious and full of laughter.  I hope you enjoy viewing this session as much as I did photographing it.
